Crustless Quiche

Crustless Quiche


  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 6 eggs
  • 100g cheddar cheese
  • Oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • (Optional) 6 rashers of bacon


  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C/Fan 160°C/Gas Mark 4.
  2. Add oil to a large frying pan. Add the bacon and onion and fry over a medium heat for 10 minutes (or until the bacon is cooked).
  3. Whisk the eggs in a wide bowl and stir in half the cheese. Stir in half of the bacon and onion mixture. Season well with salt and pepper.
  4. Grease a 20cm/8 inch round ovenproof dish or pie tin with a bit of oil. Pour in the egg mixture, scatter over the remaining bacon and onion mixture and cheese.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until set and golden.
  6. Serve warm or cold, sliced into wedges.


Serve with wedges, salad or baked beans!


Add cherry tomatoes or extra herbs for a different flavour.
