  • 8 pork sausages
  • 150ml milk
  • 100g plain flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 onion, chopped fine
  • 1 tbsp oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 220°C/Gas Mark 7.
  2. Put the flour in a bowl, add the eggs and milk and mix to make a batter.
  3. Put the sausages in an ovenproof baking dish with a little oil. Roast for 15 minutes in the oven.
  4. Remove the dish from the oven and pour in the batter around the sausages.
  5. Cook for a further 35 minutes until the sausages are cooked through and the batter is golden on top.

Swaps

Use flavoured sausages like Cumberland or Lincolnshire, or even pork and apple, to change the flavour. For a vegetarian meal use veggie sausages instead.
