Sausage and Bean Casserole

Sausage and Bean Casserole


  • Ingredients
  • 8 pack sausages
  • 1.5kg potatoes, cubed
  • 5 carrots, sliced
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp cooking oil
  • 1 tbsp tomato puree
  • 250ml water
  • 2 cans baked beans
  • 1 stock cube
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Fry the sausages in the oil, turning until browned.
  2. Put sausages to one side. Fry the onion for 5 mins or until golden brown.
  3. Stir in the garlic, Worcestershire sauce and tomato puree and cook for 30 seconds.
  4. Transfer the onion mixture to a large pan and add the potatoes, carrots, water and stock cube. Bring to the boil then simmer for 30 min or until the potatoes and carrots are soft.
  5. Add the sausages and beans. Stir and simmer for another 3 mins.
  6. Serve and enjoy.


Serve with crusty bread.
