Slow Cooker Pasta with Bolognese Sauce


  • 500g Penne pasta
  • 500g minced beef
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 1 courgette, grated
  • 4 cloves of garlic, crushed
  • 3 tsp mixed herbs
  • 4 x 400g tinned tomatoes
  • 70g tomato puree
  • 1L vegetable stock
  • 1 cup grated cheese


  1. Add mince to the slow cooker and break apart.
  2. Add all ingredients except cheese. Ensure liquid covers the pasta.
  3. Cook for 4 hours on medium.
  4. Once cooked sprinkle cheese on top. Cook for 5 more minutes to melt cheese.


Try adding spinach or mushrooms halfway through.

This meal can be frozen and reheated another day! Increase the ingredients to make more portions.
