Wraparound childcare programme

Staffordshire County Council have both programme and capital grant funding to deliver the National Wraparound Childcare Programme. This funding will support the creation of new or expand provision where either there is no provision or where demand exceeds supply, working with primary schools and private, voluntary and independent (PVI) providers (including childminders and early years settings).

What can funding be used for?

Funding can be used to cover costs including staffing, training, and transport costs such as minibus hire (not purchase, although capital funding could be used for this), as well as resources. It can also be used to contribute to running costs whilst demand builds, to remove any financial risk to providers of offering additional places before demand is guaranteed.

Application and Business Support

There is a wealth of resources to support providers to implementation the wraparound childcare expansion project.

What next?

The first round of Expression of Interest (EOI) as now closed, successful applicates have been contacted. Further funding is available.

If you are interested in applying for funding to support the sustainability of your provision whilst increase hours and or places of your wrapround provision please email eeac@staffordshire.gov.uk
