Fostering Staffordshire joins the Staffy Trail to inspire future carers

• The Staffy Trail's ‘Care and Connection’ week is helping to raise awareness of the need for more foster carers in the county, with a dedicated sculpture celebrating themes of care, kindness and belonging.

• The county council wants to recruit 60 new foster families this year.

• Anyone exploring the trail over the next two weeks are being encouraged to stop and speak to the council's fostering team, as they tour across the county.

Key road set to be resurfaced in Uttoxeter next week

• The A518 Town Meadows Way and its double roundabout is being completely resurfaced.
• Works also include repairs to kerbs, drains and ironworks.
• This £950,000 project is estimated to take around seven weeks to complete.

• Reminder ahead of Food Allergy Awareness Week, which starts Wednesday 20 May.

Staffordshire firms honoured in King’s Awards for Enterprise

• Two Staffordshire businesses have won a King's Award for Enterprise this year.

• Companies Woolcool, from Stone, and Lynguard Limited, from Chesterton, both won in the International Trade category.

• They join 186 recipients across the country.
