How a Stoke-based animation studio brought Staffy to life

• Staffy was created by a Stoke-on-Trent animation studio using a blend of traditional creativity and innovative modern technology.

• The character is the result of collaboration between local artists, businesses and the community, combining skills like sketching, sculpting, digital design and 3D animation.

• Staffy now fronts Staffordshire’s tourism campaign, including the Staffy Trail, helping showcase the county as the nation’s playground.

• Burton car dealer pleads guilty to string of trade offences

• The 41 charges against Mr Sheeth Adam relate to selling unsafe vehicles, aggressive trading practices and not providing buyers with cancellation rights

• Mr Adam will appear before Stafford Crown Court at a later date for sentencing

New school nurseries to help cut childcare costs

• More places in affordable school-based nurseries will be available to Staffordshire families.

• New nurseries in six Staffordshire schools will be open from September 2026.

• Part of £45 million fund from Department of Education, shared between 300 schools nationwide.

- We explain that decisions are taken through the Staffordshire Safer Roads Partnership, enforcement is carried out by Staffordshire Police.
- We’re committed to working with communities while directing limited resources to where they will prevent the most harm.
