The local borough or district council for the area and the Environment Agency are responsible for dealing with fly-tipping on public land:
- A Staffordshire primary school has won regional recognition for its work promoting active and sustainable travel and combatting air pollution outside their school.
- Two farmers from Meerbrook in Leek have pleaded guilty to a series of animal welfare offenses.
- Pupils from Heath Hayes Primary Academy in Cannock are urging drivers to switch off their engines outside school as part of a new campaign to reduce air pollution.
- A successful scheme designed to prevent accidents involving deer by keeping them away from the road is being expanded.
