Personal Search

Information for Personal Search companies

For information for the Personal Search, please contact the relevant district/borough council to view the Local Land Charges Register.

If an answer to a part of the CON29 is required, two options are available:

  • obtain information free of charge under Environmental Information Regulations 2004 (EIR) using our range of resources and online map search, please see below.
  • submit an online application, there is a charge for this service and current turnaround time is 15 working days. We may need to adjust this given volume and resource levels.

Request for information under Environmental Information Regulations 2004 (EIR)

The EIR requires local authorities to make available the information required to answer the CON29 search. To help reduce administration in submitting individual EIR requests, we aim to publish this information on our website. We also have an online map facility showing:

  • Road adoption/maintenance status
  • Common Land or Town/Village Greens
  • Proposed Road schemes

If you cannot find the information you need, please submit an EIR request to the freedom of information team. Please note, a response may take up to 20 working days, as covered in the EIR.

Please note that we cannot provide opinion-based information in response to an EIR request such as:

  • Actual responses to CON29 enquiries
  • Whether a specific piece of information would be declarable on the CON29 for a specific property
  • Whether a specific piece of information should be used to answer a specific CON29 question
