Adding or editing a local service

To add, edit, or remove a local service from the local services page click on “local services” on the left panel. This will open a list of current services. To create a new service, click on “add new” at the top of the page.

To edit an existing service, hover over the name of the service you wish to edit, then click 'edit' when the option appears.

To remove a service, mouse over the service’s name and click on “trash”.

Ignore the Themify custom panel at the top. If this is changed it may cause a display issue on the page.

Title

The title field of the service entry is the name which will be displayed on the site, above the address and information area.

Address and information

The address field should contain either the postal address of the service, or information about the service.

Phone number

Enter the service’s main contact number, but also feel free to add other information here, e.g. you might add “(9am – 5pm)” to the end of the number to show availability times.

You can leave this blank to hide the telephone number from the service information.

Link to website

To add a website link to the service/information, fill in these two fields.

service-link

The first field is the text that will be displayed (Note: this text is preceeded by "Website: ", for example:

service-linkexample

The second field is where you set the link users will follow when clicked.

If you do not want to link to a site, leave both these fields blank.

Accessibility guidance

Do not put the link into the first field as this will display a naked link on the page, use a title as shown above.

Local service type

In the right panel is a section titled “local service type”. This lists the possible service types. Tick a box of the appropriate type to have the information show under that section. You can tick multiple options to display the entry under multiple sections if desired.

If you do not select a service type the entry will never appear on the site!
