Staffordshire County Council's Strategic Plan (2018-2022)
This page outlines our strategic plan for 2022-26.
Mental Health Strategy
One in four people in the county will suffer from mental health problems during their lifetime. Because of this, Staffordshire County Council, local NHS clinical commissioning groups and other local authorities are working together to ensure those with mental health issues are not prevented from living full, healthy lives and have produced the Mental Health Strategy, ‘Mental Health is Everyone’s Business’.
Joint Staffordshire Disability and Neurodiversity Strategy (2023 - 2028)
We are currently developing a new Joint Staffordshire Disability and Neurodiversity Strategy. To help write this strategy we have given people the opportunity to share their views and experiences, which included an online questionnaire during December 2022 and January 2023, followed by a number of district-based drop-in events during January and March 2023.
We would like to thank everybody who has been able to share their views. These have helped us to write our new strategy. Our draft strategy will be going through the County Council and Integrated Care Board’s approval processes until mid-July 2023. Once fully agreed, a copy of the new strategy will be uploaded to this webpage. We will be developing an action plan by December 2023. Work will then start to deliver the strategy. The Disability Partnership Board, formed in 2022, will be monitoring progress with the new strategy.
