School place planning in Cannock Chase District
The Cannock Chase district has two main areas:
- Cannock (including Norton Canes)
- Rugeley
All schools here use a two‑tier system:
- Primary schools for ages 4–11
- Secondary schools for ages 11–18
To plan school places properly, the council divides the district into smaller planning areas. These groups make it easier to understand how children move between schools and which areas need more places.
Cannock (including Norton Canes)
Cannock has:
- 17 primary schools
- 1 infant school
- 1 junior school
- 5 secondary schools
