School place planning in East Staffordshire Borough
East Staffordshire is made up of two main areas:
- Burton on Trent
- Uttoxeter
The area uses two different school systems:
- Burton on Trent: two‑tier system — Primary (ages 4–11) and Secondary (ages 11–18)
- Uttoxeter: three‑tier system — First (4–9), Middle (9–13), High (13–18)
To help plan school places, the borough is split into smaller planning areas. These are based on where schools are and how pupils move between them.
