Sites for potential new free schools

Staffordshire Moorlands is divided into five areas:

• Biddulph
• Blythe Bridge
• Endon and Werrington
• Cheadle
• Leek (including Cheddleton and Moorlands Rural)

Different parts of the district use different school systems:

• Biddulph uses a three‑tier system:
  • First schools (4–9)
  • Middle schools (9–13)
  • High schools (13–18)
• Blythe Bridge, Endon and Werrington, and Cheadle all use a two‑tier system:
  • Primary schools (4–11)
  • Secondary schools (11–16/18)
• Leek (including Cheddleton and Moorlands Rural) uses a mix of both:
  • Some areas have the two‑tier system
  • Some areas have first, middle, and high schools

The district is split into smaller planning areas, so the council can work out where school places are needed.

Biddulph

Biddulph has:

• 5 first schools
• 1 primary school
• 2 middle schools
• 1 high school

There are no new school places planned in the next five years, though more may be needed in the future.

Cheadle has:

• 2 high schools
