The 2026/27 budget includes major investments designed to support residents now and secure Staffordshire’s future.
Key investments funded through council tax
- £15 million extra to improve Staffordshire’s roads
- £5.5 million to recruit around 120 additional children’s services staff
- £1 million investment in a new town-centre campus in Stafford for young people with special educational needs
- £5 million to transform libraries into modern community hubs
- £18 million investment in Staffordshire’s countryside and visitor economy, including Chasewater and the Staffordshire Way
