    Supporting schools, special educational needs, and opportunities for young people.
  • Highways and Transport 
    Maintaining 4,000 miles of roads, improving travel, and keeping the county connected.
  • Household Waste Recycling Centres (the tips) 
    Managing 14 recycling sites across the county.
  • Economic Growth & Skills 
    Supporting local businesses, jobs, investment, tourism, and the visitor economy.

Housing, waste collection, street cleaning, environmental health, planning and leisure are the responsibility of our 8 district and borough councils.
