How your council tax supports Staffordshire
Your council tax helps fund the day-to-day services that residents rely on - from social care and highways to education and public health. It also allows us to invest in Staffordshire’s long-term future.
For 2026/27, the council has approved a budget that:
- invests hundreds of millions of pounds in vital services
- focuses on protecting the most vulnerable
- keeps Staffordshire’s council tax among the lowest of all English county councils
- supports delivery of our five Strategic Plan priorities: People, Economy, Connectivity, Communities, and Efficiency & Value for Money
