Help for children in care and children with disabilities
We support children and young people who are in care or have a disability.
Children in care
We help children and young people who live with foster carers, in children’s homes, or with other family members.
Our team includes:
- Social workers
- Personal advisors
- Family support workers
They:
- Stay in touch with children
- Make sure care plans are up-to-date
- Help children feel safe and supported
- Work with local teams and safeguarding services
We also help young people who are leaving care to find a safe and stable future.
Children with disabilities
Our disability teams support children with:
- Physical or learning disabilities
- Autism or other special needs
We offer:
- Short breaks – time away from home to relax and have fun
- Direct payments – money to help pay for care or support
- Early help – support before problems get worse
Some of our social workers are based in local teams, so families can get help close to home.
