FAQ

What if I'm sent to hospital by my GP at short notice?

This may not be the right service for you to use. Existing community transport schemes, if there is one in your area, may be better placed to help in this instance.

Can you advise me on connecting to regular bus services?

When you call to book your journey the operator will be able to give you further information on existing bus routes and times.

Can I get on with a wheelchair?

Yes.

Who will be running the service?

The service is operated under contract to Staffordshire County Council by Staffs Border Travel.

What can't the service do?

While it is extremely flexible this bus may not be suitable for everyone’s needs.

The service is designed to supplement and complement existing transport services. It is not intended to replace existing transport schemes such as hospital transport, local voluntary cars, community transport schemes or taxis.

In some cases these other forms of transport may be more suited to your needs.

What makes the service different from a normal bus?

Unlike a normal bus this service won’t run to a designated route or timetable. You book it in advance by phone.

It will help you to get from village to village easily, picking you up from home, or other agreed location and then taking you to your destination. You can also use the service to connect with regular bus services to travel further afield.
