The works at Dimsdale Parade West will take four weeks to complete.
A £260,000 highways improvement project on the B5369 at Dimsdale Parade West in Newcastle will start on Monday 5 January.
Being delivered by Staffordshire County Council, the works are scheduled to take around four weeks to complete and includes resurfacing, along with repairs to kerbs and ironworks.
To make sure the work can be done safely, temporary lane closures and traffic lights will be in place for much of the scheme. For a few nights during the works, the road will be closed between 7pm and 6am to allow resurfacing to take place, with signed diversions in operation. Wherever possible, access for residents to nearby roads will be maintained.
Patrick Allen, Cabinet Support Member for Highways North at Staffordshire County Council, said:
“This is another important highways project for Newcastle town centre and part of wider investment in improving roads right across the county.
“Engineers have planned the works carefully to help minimise any inconvenience for people and crews will be doing their best to get the work done as efficiently as possible. As always I’d like to thank people in advance for their co-operation while we carry out these essential improvements.”
