- Staffordshire County Council has called for a rethink on how to maximise the benefits of greater use of electric cars in the county. The Government plans to boost sales by putting more electric vehicle chargers in streets where homes have no driveways, so are unable to install their own charging points.

- Staffordshire Highways crews will be carrying out overnight work underneath Branston Bridge, to repair the brick arches. The work, which starts tomorrow (26 July) and will be carried out every Saturday night/into Sunday morning over seven weeks, will have no impact on road traffic or pedestrians, and the bridge will remain open throughout.
