CX056, Carriageway Hotspot Works on D3298 Spinney Lane, Burntwood
Staffordshire County Council will shortly be carrying out significant works at D3298 Spinney Lane, Burntwood as work commences on a £350,000 investment in the local area. This scheme of work is due to take place between Bells Lane and Shelley Road.
Work will include replacement of ironwork where necessary, cleansing of all drainage systems, replacing damaged kerbs and resurfacing of the carriageway to include
stabilisation grid and the replacement of road markings.
Due to the nature of these works and the location, a road closure will be required to ensure that all necessary works can be completed safely and swiftly.
When are the works taking place?
The work will commence on Monday 23 June and will take approximately 3 weeks to complete all tasks. Road closures will be in place each day between 07:30 and 17:30. Road closures will be lifted as early as possible on each shift.
How long will the works take?
Approximately 11 working days (no weekends).
Will I be able to access my home/business?
Vehicle access to all residential properties will be restricted during the works. Access will be granted to properties when safe to do so. A diversion route suitable for all vehicle types will be signposted on site. Out teams will assist all residents and businesses with suitable parking locations outside of the works area and pedestrian access.
What effect could the works have on me?
We take care to make sure that work is completed with the minimum of disturbance to the local community but as with any major works, some minor traffic delays may occur.
Although we will do our best to ensure that noise pollution is kept to a minimum, it is likely that construction noise will be heard during the working times.
