Communications and press office

At the county council it is important that we keep the media, our partners, MPs, employees and most importantly our residents informed and involved with our services. It is also essential that we aim to positively raise the profile of the county council and highlight some of the productive work going on in Staffordshire.

A dedicated communications team is spread across the organisation and aims to keep you up to date with information about services available and latest news in your local area.

The team brings you everything you need to know via the county council's websites, publications, campaigns, internal communication, events and press office.

Press Office

Our press office is located in the corporate communications office and takes over 2,500 enquiries a year on behalf of the whole council.

The press office can be contacted on 01785 895050. We also run an out of hours (evening and weekend) service which can be contacted by ringing the above number. Follow this link for our news archive and all recent press releases.

If you are a journalist, you might find the calendar of committee meeting dates and road works information useful.
