Reuse
Before you throw anything away why not see if it can be reused or upcycled? There are lots of ways this can be done:
Charities
Charity shops accept a wide variety of items. Please contact your local charity shop for more information on what they can accept. Some animal re-homing charities are often grateful of old clean duvets for the animals. It may be worth looking for local animal charities online.
Reuse networks
Reuse networks such as Freecycle, Freegle allow members to advertise goods for reuse or sharing through local groups and forums. Membership and advertising is free and everything offered must also be free.
Disposal
Pillows, cushions and duvets can be taken to the recycling centre, unfortunately they are unable to be recycled. Waste placed in the residual/general waste skip will be sent to one of Staffordshire’s energy recovery plants.
