Baths

Recycle (charges apply): Baths can be taken to any of Staffordshire's recycling centres. There is a charge £3 per bag over two 50L bags, the first two bathroom suite items are free of charge.

It is not a statutory duty for the Recycling Centres to take waste that isn’t produced in the normal day-to-day occupation of a home. Certain waste types from household maintenance and improvement or garden work is not legally regarded as normal household rubbish and a charge or disposal limit can be made.

How much will it cost? 

First large item is free of charge and residents can have 4 visits per household over a 4-week period. Anything over this amount will be chargeable at £3 per large item. These include items such as: 

  • Shower tray.
  • Sink (with pedestal).
  • Toilet (with cistern).
  • Bath.
  • Shower screen.

Please note: these charges only apply to householders. They do not apply to trade waste which has a separate scheme.

What does this policy include?

  • Glass (plate glass, shower screens etc.)
  • Sanitary ware i.e. toilets, bidets, sinks, baths and shower trays (ceramic, porcelain, plastic or fibreglass)

Large jobs

For large jobs such as building an extension, renovating a house or demolishing a wall will mean you have to hire a skip and pay for the removal/disposal of the material.
