The West Midlands SEND Regional Community, led by Alan Edmiston and Claire Fraser, is a community for teachers working within special schools and schools with formally designated SEN Units / Resourced Provisions, located within
any of the four Maths Hubs regions below:
- North Mids Maths Hub
- SHaW Maths Hub
- Central Maths Hub
- Origin Maths Hub
As a member of this community, you will gain access to our Regional Network Meetings, Professional Development Days for staff members and National Webinars. You will also have access to Basecamp, where you’ll find lots of exciting and interesting resources, research materials, videos and publications to help support you and your colleagues. Basecamp can also be used to communicate with each other and us, ask questions and share ideas.
North Mids Maths Hub – SEND Regional Network Meeting
- Date: Tuesday 2nd June 2026
- Time: 9:30 – 14:30
- Venue: Wightwick Hall School, Tinacre Hill, Wolverhampton, WV6 8DA.
We are excited to be holding our first SEND Network Meeting for this academic year, where you will get an opportunity to meet face to face with colleagues from across the North Mids Maths Hub area. If your school is located within Staffordshire, Stoke-on-Trent or Walsall, we would love to see you there.
The day will provide you with an opportunity to find out about the SEND work of the NCETM, which now involves hundreds of special schools across England, and will showcase examples of maths developments from special schools, including a session led by Kat Adams from Rocklands School. You will also have the opportunity to network with SEND colleagues and you will be signposted to the free help that is available to support you as you seek to develop the teaching of mathematics in your school.
To attend the SEND Network Meeting, please click here to complete the sign up form.
Please feel free to email us at mathshub@painsley.staffs.sch.uk if you have any further queries.
We look forward to working with you.
