Generally, once a project has been identified and following a period of discussion with the school in order to obtain an indication of what is required, the majority of medium to large scale projects commence with the production of a Project Brief.
Landlord's approval will be required for all projects that physically affect the building. The Landlords Approval Form can be found at the bottom of this page.
Many schools have successfully undertaken building projects, alterations and improvements to their buildings using funds from their own devolved budgets and / or through bids to other external sources. The majority of these schemes are generally small scale and present very few problems. However, as the funding available within schools has increased over recent years, schools have grown increasingly ambitious with their proposals and many schemes can now involve significant amounts of capital expenditure requiring modifications to the buildings structure, mechanical and electrical plant and often necessitating application for relevant Statutory and Landlord approvals
