Active travel Burton
The scheme improved the area between Station Street and the rail station on Borough Road.
Cycle paths were added on both sides of Station Street up to Union Street and Guild Street. These paths keep walkers, cyclists, and traffic separate. Cyclists have priority at quiet side roads, but they still need to give way to buses at bus stops.
On Borough Road, a cycle path was built on the uphill side leading to the rail station. Cyclists going towards the town centre should use the road until they reach the cycle path on Station Street.
