Residents across Staffordshire can now sign up to a fresh programme of Community Learning courses.
Delivered by Staffordshire County Council’s Community Learning Service, the new programme offers adults aged 19 and over the chance to learn new skills, build confidence and improve wellbeing through a variety of free and low-cost courses.
The latest courses cover a wide range of interests and needs including digital skills, English and maths, wellbeing and nature‑based learning, family learning, creativity, and practical life skills. Courses are delivered both online and in person at community venues across the county, supporting accessibility for all residents.
The Community Learning Service works closely with local partners to ensure courses are welcoming, flexible and designed to support people back into learning, whether they are looking to boost employment prospects, try something new or simply gain confidence.
Robin Hall, Staffordshire County Council's Cabinet Member for Economy and Skills, said:
"Community learning is about more than courses, it’s about giving people the confidence, skills and opportunities to move forward.
"This programme is designed to be accessible and practical, whether someone is looking to improve their job prospects, build digital skills, or simply take that first step back into learning.
"We want to make sure that opportunity is there for everyone, in every part of Staffordshire."
Full details of the new courses, including how to enrol and eligibility information, are available on the Staffordshire County Council Community Learning webpages.
