In line with Working Together to Safeguard Children 2026 and the Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Act 2026, partners are expected to share information proactively, lawfully and purposefully to safeguard children and improve outcomes. Information‑sharing must support:
- timely safeguarding and housing assessments,
- continuity of care, education and health support, and
- effective system oversight and accountability.
Delays attributable to information gaps must be escalated through agreed governance arrangements. Information‑sharing should be proportionate but sufficiently robust to support collective safeguarding responsibility.
