Equipment repairs and maintenance

If you have equipment installed in your home, it may need repairs, servicing or safety inspections from time to time.

Fixed equipment

Fixed equipment includes:

  • stair lifts
  • through-floor lifts
  • ceiling hoists
  • external step lifts

If your equipment is still under warranty, the installation company will usually carry out repairs. After the warranty ends, the council's contractor is responsible for maintenance and servicing.
