Rescue Me

Rescue Me is an innovative initiative that is being implemented across recycling centres throughout the county.
The objective of this scheme is to reuse and repurpose items that are still useable, such as furniture, gardening tools, working electrical items, household items, toys and baby equipment. Numerous charities, community groups, schools and playgroups in the county are already using these items but the more groups we have, the more we can save.

If you have an item and are uncertain about its potential for reuse, speak to a recycling operative on-site or contact us via email at wastesavvy@staffordshire.gov.uk. Should your charity, community group or school wish to participate in this initiative, please email for further details.

Pop Up’s

As the items at the recycling centres are only accessible by authorised organisations, we are taking the items on tour into the local areas, holding pop up events where residents can purchase the items. All monies raised goes to the organisation supporting the event.

Crucially, every item donated stays within the community, either being repurposed by local organisations or sold in the area. This ensures that all funds raised, directly benefit the community.
