Staffordshire County Council Waste and Sustainability are proud to join forces with the care leavers team to offer support and access to household goods free of charge.

Staffordshire County Council Waste and Sustainability are proud to join forces with the care leavers team to offer support and access to household goods free of charge.

The items available include:

  • Chest of Drawers
  • Bedside Tables
  • Small table and chairs
  • Suitcases
  • Kitchen utensils
  • Mirrors
  • Pictures
  • Household items such as vases and ornaments

Hearts & Hands 

Hearts and hands

Hearts & Hands is a Stafford based charity, are pleased to work in collaboration with Staffordshire County Council. They can provide transport to move items and source specific items if needed. They will also provide a cleaning package including washing up liquid, toilet cleaner, bleach, washing powder, clothes and other items for any care leaver.

PaintCycle

We’ve teamed up with Community RePaint to repurpose leftover paint for residents in Staffordshire. Full and part-full tins of paint are available to be taken for free to help with decorating.

Information for personal assistants

All PA’s will be given a pass to access the hub, this must be shown upon arrival.
Any care leaver over the age of 18 are welcome to attend the site to choose items with their PA.
 Anyone on site will need to wear a high vis vest. These will be provided at the site. 
A ticket must be obtained from the team leader to ensure we have an accurate record of the number of items taken.
