Information which you have provided in order to take advantage of the IT Telephone Support Service will be stored securely and will only be used for the delivery of that service. You have the right to cancel your participation in the service at any time and have your records removed in their entirety.

Liability statement

  • By applying to participate in this telephone support service, you agree to Staffordshire County Council representatives contacting you and you understand that we are in no way affiliated with any manufacturers, websites or apps that might be discussed. You might need to agree separately to their terms and conditions, but that would be your own decision and would not be on the advice or instruction of the county council.
  • In using the telephone support service, you understand and accept that our advice and guidance is necessarily basic and general and that we are not acting in a professional advisory capacity that gives rise to any contractual or other liability for the outcomes of the service.
  • Staffordshire County Council accepts no liability for any personal injury that is incurred whilst taking part in any online activity away from one of our buildings. If during, or as a result of your IT Support phone call, you use cables or electrical equipment (including information and communication technology equipment e.g. desktop, laptop, mobile phone) then please ensure that you do so safely and in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidance and warranty.
