Internet and Computer Access
Staffordshire Libraries have free access to computers and the internet. They also have printing / scanning facilities, and staff / IT Buddies to help on site. You need to be a library member, it is easy to join online or visit a library to get started.
You can also find a location that provides access to the internet and help using it through the Online Centres Network.

Cooking Guide
This guide has been developed to support international care workers, new to the UK, with some clear and simple instructions for preparing a variety of light meals and hot drinks that are popular in England.
It also includes descriptions of common kitchen equipment and their use, kitchen hygiene and preparation, information on food safety and food labels, and instructions for ready meals.

Accommodation and housing
Free, independent advice is available through:
- Citizens Advice/housing or by calling their advice line on 0800 144 8848
- Shelter or by calling their emergency helpline on 0808 800 4444
International care workers are not usually able to access homelessness support through their local authority as they have no recourse to public funds.
Access to benefits and other support
The No Recourse to Public Funds Network provide information about your rights and entitlements and have developed a tool to help work out when further housing and financial support is available for those with no recourse to public funds.

International Students
The international student advice service at your college or university will know if their education establishment has any hardship funds that you can apply to.
The UK Council for International Student Affairs provides more information for students who are experiencing financial hardship and has an advice line on +44 20 7788 9214 (Monday – Friday 13:00-16:00).
Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service (ACAS)
ACAS offer free, impartial advice on workplace rights and rules. They can also help with dispute resolution. You can access this through their website or by calling their helpline 0300 123 1100 (Monday to Friday, 08:00-18:00).
