Who can join the HAF programme?
Children aged 5 to 16 who get benefit-related free school meals can join.
They can take part in fun activities and get a healthy meal during school holidays.
How do I get my child’s HAF code?
If your child is eligible, you’ll get a HAF code by email or letter from Staffordshire County Council.
You need this code to book activities.
What if I lost the HAF code?
If you’ve lost the code, contact your local Family Hub.
They can help you get it again.
What if I think my child should get a HAF code but I haven’t received one?
- First, ask your child’s school or Family Hub
- If you’re not sure your child gets free school meals, apply online
- Tell the school if your application is approved
How are clubs and activities chosen?
Staffordshire County Council picks trusted providers who meet safety rules.
They must follow the Department for Education’s HAF Standards, including:
- Safeguarding
- Health and safety
- Insurance
When can I book and how many sessions can I choose?
When booking opens, you’ll see a ‘Book Now’ button on the HAF webpage.
It takes you to the EEQU website, where you can search by postcode.
You can book up to 4 free sessions.
What if my child can’t go after I’ve booked?
Please tell the club as soon as you can.
This helps another child take the place.
If you don’t let them know, your other bookings might be cancelled.
What happens to the information I give?
We use your details to record your child’s place in the HAF programme.
We may share some information with trusted partners to help run the programme.
Only the minimum needed is shared.

Can I get food or supermarket vouchers?
No, the HAF programme does not give out food or supermarket vouchers.
It only offers free activities and meals during school holidays.
