Staffordshire film office showcases new police documentary ahead of TV broadcast

Staffordshire’s film office has showcased the first episode of the latest series of a police documentary which was shot in the county.


The premier of Motorway Cops was shown at the Gatehouse Theatre with an invited audience of around 100 people on Wednesday 1 April.


Hosted in partnership between film office Screen Staffordshire, Purple Productions, Objective Media Group and the Royal Television Society Midlands, it featured episode one of the tenth series of the show – shot with Staffordshire Police between September and December 2025.


A panel session was held after the screening which included Staffordshire Police and the programme’s series editor and creative director. The series will start on Monday 13 April on Channel 5.


Screen Staffordshire supports film makers to create their productions successfully in the county and make the job as seamless as possible. It helps with locations, permissions, crew, suppliers and any other production needs. It is part of the county council and works closely with the district, borough and city councils.
