Planning consultation underway for new medical centre

""

Consultation is underway on the new medical centre planned for Burntwood.

Before the planning application is finalised and submitted this summer, members of the community and stakeholders are being invited to share their views.

Also earmarked for the same site off Milestone Way, Burntwood, are plans for a care home and sports pitches.

Staffordshire County Council has provided the land and is submitting the health centre application on behalf of the NHS, which is responsible for its provision, design and funding.

Sean Bagguley, Staffordshire County Council’s cabinet member for Finance and Resources, said:

Now that the health centre plans have been drawn up we are moving as quickly as we can on behalf of the NHS.

Despite the urgency to deliver this much-anticipated community asset, it’s important we follow the correct process and we hope everyone who has an interest in this project will take a moment to share their views.”

The feedback deadline is Thursday, 14 May 2026.
