Highway crews at Staffordshire County Council will be carrying out safety repairs on Barnhurst Lane near Codsall.
The work will start on Tuesday 14 April and is expected to take around ten days to complete. The road is currently closed and once the necessary repairs have been completed and the road made safe, the lane will be reopened.
Peter Mason, Cabinet Member for Strategic Highways at Staffordshire County Council, said:
"Our crews have already carried out maintenance and a number of repairs on the lane. The remaining carriageway safety defects are complex, and crews have been investigating the most cost-effective ways of making those safe. They will be on site again over the next couple of weeks to complete the remaining repairs.
“We do appreciate people’s patience and co-operation while the road is closed. Once the repairs are complete and the area made safe, the road will be reopened.”
