A highways improvements scheme on the A521 Delphouse Road and Brickhouse Road junction in Cheadle will start on Monday 29 June.

The £255,000 scheme is being delivered by Staffordshire County Council and will include the resurfacing of the road along with repairs to kerbs and ironworks. The work is expected to take around four weeks to complete.

To make sure the work can be done safely, some temporary traffic lights will be in operation although Access for residents will be maintained wherever possible.  The resurfacing phase of the job is expected to be done from Monday 20 July to Monday 27 July with overnight closures in place from 7pm to 6am. A diversion will be in operation for this phase of the project.

Patrick Allen, Cabinet Support Member for Highways North at Staffordshire County Council, said:

“This is one of a number of schemes taking place in Cheadle this year as we work to improve the areas roads.

“The scheme is likely to take around four weeks to complete and, as always, crews will be doing all they can to minimise disruption to residents. As with all our schemes, I’d like to thank people in advance for their co-operation while we get the work done.”

This project is part of wider investment and the Staffordshire Highways Road Map for a Better Network.
