Families across Staffordshire will have plenty of fun ways to enjoy the Easter holidays, with attractions and events taking place in every corner of the county.

Alton Towers Resort is gearing up for a packed Easter season, with visitors able to enjoy favourites like Oblivion, Rita and Wicker Man, alongside the legendary Nemesis: Reborn. For younger visitors, there is the family-friendly CBeebies Land, where the brand new Bluey rollercoaster, ‘Here Come The Grannies!’, opens on Saturday 28 March.

Drayton Manor Resort is celebrating Easter with more than 50 rides and attractions, including Europe’s only dedicated theme park attraction to Thomas the Tank Engine, Thomas Land, and will be home to the Care Bears Spring Celebration from Saturday 28 March to Sunday 19 April.

Over in East Staffordshire, the National Forest Adventure Farm is hosting its Easter Eggstravaganza, with trailer rides to Bunny Woods, interactive Easter shows, baby animals and huge indoor and outdoor play areas.

At the National Memorial Arboretum, Easter is all about Albie The Owl, with Arbie’s i-Spy: Spring Trail, Making Music Workshops and drop-in arts & crafts, plus the Stick Man Outdoor Trail.

In Newcastle, families can hop aboard a steam train at Apedale Railway for their free Easter Egg Hunt, running on Easter Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Also in the area is the Snoopy Trentham Trail at Trentham Gardens, where visitors can explore a collection of Snoopy sculptures set throughout the gardens.

Martin Murray, Leader at Staffordshire County Council, said:

“Easter is a good time for families to get out and explore the county, and this year’s line‑up shows just how much choice there is.

“Staffordshire continues to be the nation’s playground and the beating heart of the country. And with such a variety of fun things to do, we’re sure to inspire families to try something new and making lasting memories this Easter.”

There’s a community feel to Easter in Stafford, where Aston Marina is hosting a charity Easter Egg Hunt in support of the Douglas Macmillan Hospice. Families can follow a trail of puzzles to win a chocolate prize, all while helping raise funds for a much‑loved local cause. Plus, over at the Staffordshire History Centre, there is a packed programme of history-themed walks, talks, arts, crafts, exhibitions, and games.

In South Staffordshire, meanwhile, Weston Park has the brand-new Down The Rabbit Hole Easter Trail and the return of the Easter Motor Show, while Cannock Chase Forest provides miles of woodland walks, play areas and trails.
