Rural businesses in Staffordshire are being urged to attend a free event where they can obtain advice and guidance on growing their operations.
Organised by Staffordshire County Council in partnership with Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce, the Rural Business Pop-up Hub at Keele Hall next month will offer advice, funding, support and signposting.
The event is open to businesses that are located in rural areas of Staffordshire as well as people living in rural communities who are thinking about launching their own business.
A range of organisations that offer business support will be exhibiting at the event, including Staffordshire County Council, Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce and Keele University.
Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire Growth Hub, Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire Skills Hub, Staffordshire Business and Environment Network, Staffordshire Jobs and Careers services will be in attendance.
Robin Hall, Staffordshire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Economy and Skills, said:
Running a business in a rural community can bring challenges, from accessing finance and skills to finding the right specialist advice.
Staffordshire has a strong and diverse rural economy, and we want to help its businesses start, grow and create more local jobs.
This free event brings a wide range of practical support together under one roof. Whether you already run a business or are considering starting one, I would encourage you to come along, speak directly to the experts and find out what help is available.”
The Rural Business Pop-up Hub is at Keele Hall, Keele University on Tuesday 13 October from 10am to 12.30pm and is free to attend.
