Families looking for affordable ways to keep children entertained over the summer holidays are being encouraged to discover the wealth of attractions and activities on offer across Staffordshire.
Visit Staffordshire's popular 30 Under £30 campaign has returned for 2026, showcasing dozens of free and low-cost family experiences that cost a family of four no more than £30.
The campaign highlights everything from outdoor adventures and heritage attractions to creative workshops, family trails and wildlife experiences, helping families enjoy memorable days out without breaking the bank.
Among the featured attractions is the National Memorial Arboretum near Lichfield, where visitors can enjoy free entry, play areas, trails and a packed summer programme including The Art of Remembrance. At Lichfield Cathedral, families can marvel at giant suspended whale sculptures, take part in themed activities and enjoy the return of the popular beach.
Also available to families is the chance to meet favourite children's characters including Bluey, Paddington and Peppa Pig at McArthurGlen West Midlands, while aspiring adventurers can immerse themselves in imaginative role play at Adventure Mini Village in Stoke-on-Trent.
Robin Hall, Staffordshire County Council's Cabinet Member for Economy and Skills, said:
"Summer is a great opportunity to explore everything Staffordshire has to offer. We have world-class attractions, beautiful countryside, rich heritage and fantastic family days out, all right here on our doorstep.
“Whether you're looking to take advantage of our 30 Under £30 campaign, visit attractions like Alton Towers Resort or Drayton Manor Resort, get out into the National Forest, or enjoy places such as Baggeridge Country Park, there really is something for everyone.
“Staffordshire is a fantastic place to live, work and visit, and every visit to one of our attractions helps support local businesses, jobs and our economy. I hope residents and visitors alike make the most of what's on offer this summer and create some great memories along the way."
For those wanting to enjoy the great outdoors, the National Forest's new Coal and Canopy Way cycling route offers family-friendly exploration opportunities, while Baggeridge Country Park provides walking trails, play areas and outdoor activities in beautiful surroundings.
Creative youngsters can decorate pottery at the World of Wedgwood, while history fans can witness Viking battles and living history displays during the free Viking event at Stafford Castle in August.
Elsewhere, families can enjoy free child travel offers at Churnet Valley Railway or cool off at the SnowDome in Tamworth, where special holiday activities include the Blizzard Quest snow adventure and Mermaid and Pirate Pool Parties.
Families can also explore a seaside holidays themed exhibition or enjoy a range of creative activities at the Staffordshire History Centre during the school holidays.
