Children at Greywood Primary Academy in Lichfield are settling in well and enjoying their new primary school and nursery.
The new £12-million school, which is part of Primitas Learning Partnership, opened its doors earlier this month and welcomed its first intake of nursery and reception children for the new school year.
The new school provides pupils with a bright and spacious environment in which to learn and grow. The state-of-the-art facilities have been designed with modern learning in mind and feature the latest technology to support teaching and learning.
The school has been built to help meet growing demand for school places in the area, driven by nearby housing developments including St John’s Grange and a further development on Cricket Lane.
Janet Higgins, Cabinet Member for Education and SEND at Staffordshire County Council, met up with some of the children to see how they were getting on.
