Thousands of children and young people across Staffordshire can now book their place for free fun and exciting activities this Easter, thanks to the County Council’s Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme.
The HAF programme is funded by the Department for Education and supports children aged 5–16 who are eligible for benefit-related free school meals.
Activities will run from Monday 30 March to Friday 10 April 2026. Eligible children can book up to four fully funded sessions over the Easter break, with a nutritious hot meal provided at most sessions. Many clubs also offer paid places, to ensure no child misses out.
The programme offers a vibrant mix of activities designed to inspire, engage and support children during the school holidays. Activities include, sports, dance, drama, animal interactions, mindfulness activities, horse riding and many more.
Its offers for teens have also expanded, enabling those aged 11-16 to take part in development and training opportunities including sports coaching and other confidence‑building activities.
Councillor Nick Lakin, Cabinet Member for Children and Young People at Staffordshire County Council, said:
“It’s fantastic to bring back our Easter HAF programme, giving children and young people across Staffordshire the chance to enjoy another holiday filled with inspiring and memorable experiences.
“This year’s offer includes an exciting range of activities designed to help children stay active, build new skills and make the most of their time off school.
“Whether they’re keen to explore a new interest or simply enjoy a fun day out, we’re proud to provide opportunities that every family can benefit from this Easter.”
