Structural Maintenance Work for the C0006 Wolverhampton Road, Codsall
Staffordshire County Council will carried out significant works on the C0006 Wolverhampton Road, Codsall. Works included the removal of the existing carriageway surface and replacing it with a new surface (and associated preparatory works known as ‘civil works’), alongside drainage repair and clearance and minor footway works.
Works took place along Wolverhampton Road, (from 117 Wolverhampton Road to the junction of Pendrell Close).
Road closures were required during some stages of this scheme.
When are the works taking place?
The works started on the 7 April 2025
When will the works be completed?
The works are now complete. It took approximately 3 weeks to complete the works
Will I be able to access my home/business?
During our preparation and civil works, temporary traffic signals were in operation.
For the safety of general public and workforce, the road was closed during the carriageway surfacing phases.
A diversion route was in place for properties outside the work space, no through traffic was permitted.
What effect could the works have on me?
We took care to make sure that work was completed with the minimum of disturbance to the local community, but as with any major works, some minor traffic delays may have occurred .
Although we did our best to ensure that noise pollution is kept to a minimum, it is likely that construction noise would be heard during the working times.
Residential letters were delivered to affected properties with specific scheme details.
