CX051 Structural Maintenance Work on A525 Keele Road Keele Newcastle-Under-Lyme
Staffordshire County Council will shortly be carrying out significant works at the A525 Keele Road, as they start on a £45,000 investment in the local area. The team will be resurfacing the carriageway at the Keele Road X Barne Halls Road junction. The works will be conducted under nighttime closures.
When are the works taking place?
The work will commence on 16th June 2025
When will the works be completed?
Approximately 1 week.
Will I be able to access my home/business?
For the safety of the public and of the work force this road will be closed during the resurfacing of the carriageway. The road closures will be in place from the 16th June until 20th June, and restricted to the hours of 7pm and 6am.
Access to the surrounding roads for road users will be maintained for the majority of the scheme. Delays must be expected during resurfacing phases.
During the road closures, a diversion route will be in place for properties outside the workspace, no through traffic will be permitted.
What effect could the works have on me?
We take care to make sure that work is completed with the minimum of disturbance to the local community but as with any major works, some minor traffic delays may occur.
Although we will do our best to ensure that noise pollution is kept to a minimum, it is likely that noise will be heard during the working times.
Please take care to plan your journeys and if necessary move vehicles to an accessible location during work phases (public letters will be delivered to affected properties with specific scheme details).
