Cannock

Cannock Chase Country Park 

Cannock Chase Country Park is one of the largest country parks in England. 

Size: 3000 acres (1214 hectares).

Location: Cannock Chase Visitor Centre, Cannock Chase Country Park, Marquis Drive, Hednesford, Nr. Cannock, Staffordshire, WS12 4PW

Facilities: Parking, toilets, disabled access, mobility scooter hire, shops, outdoor activity grounds, Great War Hut.

Tramper (Mobility Scooter) Hire: 90 minutes use for £5 per session, or £25 per annum.

There is a brief introduction in safety for operating the vehicle, then trail maps are supplied to indicate the routes available for use. A form of I.D. must
be produced, along with a mobile phone number of the user, in case users get
into difficulty.

The Visitor Centre at Marquis Drive is open:

Monday: 10am - 3pm

Thursday: 10am – 3pm.

Friday: 10am - 3pm

Saturday: 10am - 3pm

Sunday: 10am - 3pm

Bank Holidays: 11am - 3pm

Visitor Centre opening times are subject to weather conditions and staff availability. We do advise checking with the centre before travelling to ensure it is open on the date of your visit to avoid disappointment. Please call: 01543 876741

Car parking

There are pay and display car parks at Marquis Drive and Milford Common. 

Parking charges

From 1st April 2024, charges will be £1.20 for up to two hours, and £3.50 all day.

Parking meters accept cash and card payments can be made using the RingGo app.

Annual parking passes are available for £38, in person from the visitor centre at Marquis Drive, by calling 01543 876741 during opening hours, or by emailing cannockchasemarquisdrive@staffordshire.gov.uk.

The annual pass also covers the car park at Chasewater Country Park.

 

Milford Information Hut

The hut is situated opposite Milford Common car park. It is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 11am till 3pm. Please be aware, it is run by volunteers, so may be shut occasionally. You can get walking routes, trail maps, merchandise, and tourist information here, along with a friendly chat with our volunteers.
