Who is this course aimed at?
The course is aimed at Staffordshire residents aged 19+. This introductory short course is designed for adult learners interested in developing foundational skills in engineering operations.
Entry Requirements
There are no entry requirements.
Course Content
You will develop basic skills in engineering operations - the safe operation of machinery, hand-fiiting techniques, welding basics, and the use of measuring and inspection equipment.

You will be taught face to face by a friendly and experienced assessor
Learner Support
Classes are small to ensure your teacher can provide you with the help and support you need to enable you to confidently access the class learning materials. Individual specific needs will be discuss at the start of the course.
Course Assessments
To ensure you are on track, and understanding the course, your tutor will use verbal questions, observations and an individual learning plan to monitor your progress against the course outcomes.
Learning Materials
We will provide the workbooks. You will need to bring a pen and paper to take notes and to be able to complete the workbooks during the course.
What can learners do next/progress onto?
The course will allow progression onto further engineering disciplines such as computer aided design (CAD) or computer numerical control (CNC) in milling.
