Who is this course aimed at?

The course is aimed at Staffordshire residents aged 19+. This part-time course aimed at adult learners will provide you with a good introduction to carpentry and joinery.

Course Content

This course develops the basics of Carpentry and Joinery, focusing on Practical Skills and Safety. You'll learn the tools, techniques, and materials used in construction and furniture making. The goal is to build a solid understanding of both fields, making it suitable for beginners or those looking to expand their skills.

Learning Methods

You will be taught face to face  by a friendly and experienced teacher.

Learner Support

Classes are small to ensure your teacher can provide you with the help and support you need to enable you to confidently access the class learning materials. Individual specific needs will be discuss at the start of the course. 

Course Assessments

This course in carpentry and joinery will be delivered and assessed, using verbal and visual feedback, creating pieces of work that adhere to current regulations and standards.  An individual learning plan will be used to monitor your progress against the course outcomes

Learning Materials

This course is FREE to adult learners aged 19+. Please note that there is a £30 materials charge upon enrolment.
